All steel fasteners are made of steel per ANSI C135, ASTM A-325/or A-449 and hot dip galvanized to meet the requirements of ASTM A-153 or BS-729 standards. Bolts with rolled threads are made with long cone points to permit driving without damage to the threads. In additional to hot dip galvanized, nuts are dipped in oxide-resistant grease. This material provides additional protection to assure clean threads, and acts as a lubricant to get a good reading of torque when tightening the nut.
